For those students participating in the DofE Expeditions in June and July, a letter has been sent to parents/carers and information has been added to the google classroom which includes confirmation of the groups. The key information is shown below:
Group 1 - Girls - 18/19 June.
The expedition will begin at Little Waterfall Farm, Whitby Road, Guisborough TS14 6DB on Saturday 18 June. Start times will begin from 9.00am and are linked to the student's colour group (red, green, orange, yellow or blue). The students will be given their start time and group colour at the after-school meeting on Monday 13 June and information has also been shared in the google classroom.
The students will camp at Park Farm in Kildale (YO21 2RN) that evening and leave Kildale on Sunday morning.
The expedition will finish at the DofE Centre at Laurence Jackson School (TS14 6RD) and students should be collected at 4.00pm.
Group 2 - Mixed - 2/3 July
The expedition will be held on 2 and 3 July and will mirror the arrangements for the Group 1 (Girls) expedition.
Group 3 - Boys - 9/10 July
The expedition will be held on 9 and 10 July and will mirror the arrangements for Groups 1 and 2 (above).
For each of the expeditions Mrs Waites has provided a kit list and parents/carers are asked to note the food requirements below:
Saturday:Students will require a packed lunch and food that can be cooked on a stove in the evening.
Sunday:Students will require breakfast to be cooked on a stove in the morning and a packed lunch.
