Parent Voice Forum - Tuesday 03 October 2023 (6.00pm - 7.00pm)
It is my pleasure, as Chair of the Academy Council of Outwood Academy Bydales, to invite you to attend the first Governors’ Parent Voice Forum of the academic year. The forum will be held at Outwood Academy Bydales on Tuesday 03 October 2023 from 6:00pm - 7:00pm.
Parent Voice is a termly, open forum for the parents/carers of students attending Outwood Academy Bydales and is an opportunity for the Principal and/or other staff members to provide information and updates about the Academy and to provide an open forum for questions and comments concerning the Academy.
This is a time of changing leadership at Outwood Academy Bydales and although we have a new Principal, being part of an established Trust means that the change has been well managed and smoothly achieved.
I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the Academy Council, to acknowledge and thank Seana Rice for her excellent leadership during her time as Vice Principal and Principal of Outwood Academy Bydales and for her many years as an inspirational teacher. I would also like to welcome Rob McGreal as he takes over the Principal's role. I know he has already explained to you his excitement at being given the opportunity to work in and to support his local community as Principal of Bydales. The Academy Council looks forward to working with Mr McGreal and wish him every success in his new role.

Governors and staff consider this a very valuable opportunity to hear from parents/carers and it has led, in the past, to developments and improvements in communication and processes. We very much welcome your input and opinions.
Although queries concerning individual students should always be referred to the academy following the robust procedures which are in place, more general questions and comments are always welcome at this forum.
